SOUTHERN NEVADA ASSOCIATION FOR FINANCIAL PROFESSIONALS
PRESIDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY
The responsibilities and duties of the President of SNAFP are:
1) Oversees all activities of the Board to ensure actions are in the best interest of the membership at large and that bylaws are followed in all instances.
2) Plans, Organizes, and conducts a minimum of four Board of Directors’ meetings each year – one per quarter.
3) Prepares meeting agendas for all Board meetings and regular Association meetings.
4) Assigns and supports the duties performed by officers, committee chairpersons and individual members of the Board of Directors and ensures assigned deadlines are met.
5) Ensures monthly invites are sent to membership base and that RSVP head count is forwarded to the venue prior to the meeting.
6) Reviews, approves, and signs all contracts on behalf of the Association.
VICE PRESIDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY
The responsibilities and duties of the Vice President of SNAFP are:
1) Backs-up the President as needed and performs various duties as requested by the President.
2) Serves as National and Local Membership liaison to the AFP and ensures monthly updates are provided to all Association members via the website
3) Assists in greeting all members and visitors at meetings.
4) Assists Membership Committee with professional and student membership recruitment.
5) Performs other duties as assigned by the President.
6) Posts monthly membership updates via website.
SECRETARY’S RESPONSIBILITY

4) Prepares final copy of minutes and distributes to each Board Member. Uploads signed copy of minutes to SNAFP.org website and ensures a copy is kept in safekeeping.
TREASURER’S RESPONSIBILITY
The responsibilities and duties of the Treasurer of SNAFP are:
1) Collect and deposit dues, guest fees and other moneys due the Association.
2) Disburse all moneys of the Association.
3) Maintain a record of cash receipts and disbursements.
4) Make a financial status report at each Board meeting and upon request.

MEMBERSHIP CHAIR RESPONSIBILITY
1) Welcomes new members via US Mail, email, or telephone.
2) Responds to general membership queries via the website or any other channel.
3) Publishes and distributes membership brochures.
4) Canvases publications and media lists for member opportunities.
5) Tracks and follows up with visitors after meetings for potential membership.
6) Introduces new members and visitors at meetings.
7) Establish “member greet” so that each visitor is paired with a member during the meeting.
8) Conducts membership drive in the fall of each year. Letters, brochures and other renewal information are e-mailed to current, former, and prospective members in order to increase membership.
